Enable Tutoring is led by Miss McCarthy, a fully qualified UK secondary school English teacher with extensive classroom and private tutoring experience.

She personally mentors a small team of carefully selected tutors who share the same commitment to academic excellence, confidence-building and high professional standards.

All Enable Tutoring tutors:
Hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
Are experienced UK secondary school teachers, teaching GCSE English
Are trained in exam-focused teaching methods
Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment

Our aim is not just improved grades, but confident, capable students who understand exactly how to succeed in GCSE English.

We specialise exclusively in GCSE English for:
Year 10
Year 11

We cover both:
GCSE English Language
GCSE English Literature

By focusing solely on GCSE English, we are able to provide highly targeted, exam-specific support that delivers measurable progress.

We support all major GCSE English exam boards, including:

If your child’s school follows a different board, please contact us before booking and we will plan our sessions accordingly.

Do you offer tutoring for A-Level or other year groups?

At present, we focus exclusively on GCSE English (Year 10 and Year 11).
